2024 Dodge Charger High-Tech Cabin Features

As we mentioned above, the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona is the most technologically advanced one yet, both inside and out. Beginning on the left, the Charger features a 10.25-inch fully digital gauge cluster on the Daytona R/T, while the Daytona Scat Pack houses one spanning 16 inches. The digital instrument cluster features a free-floating design, adding to the futuristic aesthetic of the world’s first all-electric muscle car. The cluster offers optional layouts including focused and navigation-based, along with a wide range of customizable content, such as entertainment, driver aids, and more. Much of this content can also be displayed on the optional head-up display. Moving to the center stack, both Charger Daytona models, R/T and Scat Pack, feature a standard 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment touchscreen. The Uconnect 5 software operates five times faster than the previous generation and offers an array of advanced technologies. Just a few of these technologies include wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, TomTom navigation, Amazon Alexa, and more. Plus, the center touchscreen gives you access to Navigator Charging Location, Electric Vehicle Pages, and Performance Pages. The EV Pages show you information about the electric powertrain, including charge state, usage, battery regeneration status, and more. Meanwhile, Performance Pages display real-time metrics pertaining to the Charger’s performance, such as power output, 0-60 times, reaction times, quarter-mile times, and more.

Does the 2024 Dodge Charger EV Use Driver Assists?

In addition to the impressive interior technology features, the Charger also uses advanced technologies to keep you safe out on the roads. Standard driver assists for all 2024 Dodge Charger models include active lane management, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, active driving assist, automatic emergency braking, blindspot monitoring, drowsy driver detection, rear cross-path warning, and traffic sign recognition. These features use a network of sensors and cameras to monitor lane position, speed, and surrounding vehicles to stay safe. Meanwhile, additional safety technologies are optional for the 2024 Charger. These include a 360-degree surround-view camera system, front/rear/side distance warning, front tire to curb, ParkSense base front camera activation, and turn signal active blindspot view.

High-Performance Technologies of the Charger

While the 2024 Charger is high-tech both in the entertainment and safety categories, its performance is what is most impressive. Of course, the powertrain itself is high-tech, using electricity to provide Hellcat-like performance. However, it is the technologies that allow drivers to optimize this performance that make it so impressive. The first of these technologies is the PowerShot feature. Dodge’s PowerShot feature is designed to increase performance at the push of a button. Using the PowerShot button at the bottom right of the steering wheel unleashes a 15-second burst of 40 additional horsepower. All 2024 Dodge Charger models also feature a series of drive modes, including Sport, Auto, Eco, Track, and Wet/Snow. Meanwhile, Drag Mode and a series of others come exclusively with the Charger Daytona Scat Pack. Drag Mode is designed for increased straight-line acceleration and enhanced launch times on an enclosed drag strip. Meanwhile, Donut Mode is also standard on the Scat Pack. This allows drivers to perform donuts by allowing the rear wheels to spin around the front ones in either direction without intervention from the traction control system. Drift Mode is also standard to allow drivers to drift through corners smoothly. Activating Drift Mode activates three levels of slip angles and redistributes most of the powertrain’s torque to the rear axle to manage the slip angle. Meanwhile, the front suspension dampers become fully soft, while the rear dampers go fully stiff to enable oversteering. Finally, in Drift Mode, the traction control system will allow the differentials to power the wheels at different speeds without triggering a fault code.
